Crosswalk (Drouillard and Whelpton)

Referred to as ‘Plant 1’, the original Ford Canada headquarters and assembly plant on Riverside Drive East was demolished in 1970. A visit to the site inspired this design, which features graphic interpretations of some of the mixed species of pioneer plants that have since colonized the abandoned site.
Some of the species depicted: Canada Goldenrod, Virginia Creeper, Chicory, Queen Anne’s Lace
